'We Rise': Umoja Village Holds Annual Black History Month Celebration for Community

In a packed house, members of the community came together to celebrate Black History Month as Umoja Village held its fourth annual Black History Month Community Celebration. The program included an inspirational message, music, dance and unity at the the Lessie B. Price Senior and Youth Center.

The theme of the event was Rise Up, You Remnant of God: Don’t Forsake Your Faith. Umoja Village founder and CEO Donna Moore Wesby said the event was sold out, and there were 300 people from all ethnicities and backgrounds not only celebrating Black History, but glorify God.
