To help keep our community informed, we are sharing a list of resources for Aiken County Residences and Business Owners to use while recovering from Hurricane Helene.
For Restaurants - To help restaurants recover in times of critical need, DoorDash has partnered with Hello Alice to create the Restaurant Disaster Relief Fund. The fund supports restaurants impacted by natural disasters, severe weather events, or major infrastructure failures, and provides relief through $10,000 grants.Learn more here.
Security Federal Bank Hurricane Helene Emergency Relief Loan - In response to the widespread damage caused by Hurricane Helene, Security Federal Bank is proud to announce the launch of its Hurricane Helene Emergency Relief Loan, designed to assist homeowners in the aftermath of the disaster. Cedar Creek Church Need Connect Board - One Board for those who NEED help and those who CAN help. If you need: Prayer, Shopping for food, medication, or supplies, Transportation for work, appointments, or errands, Fallen tree or yard work (not trees on houses), or a Friendly Phone Call you can enter your requests here. SBA Low-Interest Disaster Relief Loans - Low-interest disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) are available to businesses and residents in South Carolina following the announcement of a Presidential disaster declaration for Hurricane Helene that began on Sept. 25. Hurricane Helene Cleanup Hotline: (844) 965-1386 - if you need help cleaning up from the hurricane damage, you can call the crisis hotline and they will connect you with volunteers from local relief organizations, community groups, and faith organizations who may be able to assist. The hotline will remain open until October 11th.
SBA -South Carolina’s Recovery After Hurricane Helene
Low-interest disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) are available to businesses and residents in South Carolina following the announcement of a Presidential disaster declaration for Hurricane Helene that began on Sept. 25.
“SBA’s mission-driven team stands ready to help small businesses and residents in South Carolina impacted by this disaster in every way possible under President Biden’s disaster declaration for certain affected areas,” said SBA Administrator Isabel Casillas Guzman. “We’re committed to providing federal disaster loans swiftly and efficiently, with a customer-centric approach to help businesses and communities recover and rebuild.”
