UMOJA VILLAGE UPDATE, because YOU are UMOJA!

1. This coming Monday, Aug. 8th, Rural Health Services presents "Healthcare For The Homeless" to benefit persons who are homeless, 10AM-2PM, at Gyles Park, 412 Park Avenue, SE, in Aiken.  RHS and others will provide preventative care services, testing, hair cuts, hygiene kits, health information, and much more.  Umoja Village will participate and provide back sacks loaded with food and other needed items and resources. 

2. If your child is just clueless about life or exhibits entitlement tendencies, register your middle or high school student for this Saturday's "Your Life; Your Future; Your Choice" FREE workshop sponsored by the Education Matters Nonprofit Corporation in partnership with SuccessTeam.  And, if your child (or you) has plans to attend college, learn how to get money to help pay during the Scholarship 101 session also this Saturday.  More details below or go to www.edmatt.com   Register to attend free workshops at the SuccessTeam book bag giveaway on Saturday, Aug. 6th, at Aiken Technical College:
