1. Last night at the Aiken City Council meeting, Umoja Village Board Member Deacon Richard Johnson, who is a sojourner for voting and civil rights, announced his resignation last night from the Elections Commission after having served in that capacity over 45 years, marking the end of his last six-year term. Congrats, Dea. Johnson, and we are so grateful for your service. We were unaware ahead of time to inform the group.
