UMOJA VILLAGE UPDATE, because YOU are UMOJA!
1. The New Ellenton Christ Central, 412 Main St., New Ellenton, SC, has partnered with Golden Harvest Food Bank and started distributing food boxes starting yesterday, and every second Wednesday and fourth Saturday, 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
2. The Aiken Democratic Party welcomes South Carolina Representative Hon. William "Bill" Clyburn to be the speaker tonight, Thursday, June 15, 7 p.m. at Cumberland A.M.E Church Fellowship Hall on the corner of Union Street and Richland Avenue in Aiken. The public is invited.
3. Aiken Tech and Aiken County Public School District will build the new career center on the Aiken Tech campus by July 2025. The SC General Assembly allotted $30 million from the Plutonium Settlement funds for this project.
