1. Tonight, 6:30-7:30 p.m., Aiken County Council District 8 candidate Mrs. P.K. Hightower, will be the speaker at The Aiken County Democratic Women's Club meeting, at Rural Health Center, 1000 Clyburn Place, Aiken. The special election is Oct. 17, 2023.

2. Thursday, Sept. 21st, 7:00-8:00 p.m., O'Dell Weeks Center, Room #1, 1700 Whiskey Road in Aiken, the Aiken County Democratic Party's September speaker is Aiken City Councilwoman Gail Diggs, who is seeking a fourth term.  Her Republican opposition is Mr. Demarcus Sullivan.  Election to be held Nov. 7, 2023.

3. Tuesday, Sept. 26th, 6:30-8:30 p.m., the AKA's are hosting a candidate forum, Cumberland A.M.E Church, 111 Kershaw Street, SE, Aiken.  Aiken City Council Dist. 1 and Aiken County Dist. 8 candidates have been invited.
