NEWS TO UMOJA VILLAGE:

1. Tune in to WAAW Shout 94.7 FM, 12-1 p.m., for today's Power Hour, where my guest will be Blackville County Council District #2 incumbent David Kenner who is seeking reelection. We will discuss voting, community service, and more.

2. On Monday, Oct. 24th, 5 p.m., at the new Aiken Municipal Building, 111 Chesterfield St., South, Umoja Village will make a presentation to Aiken City Council specifically to update on our crime prevention progress and our collective request to help invest in our youth. Featured speakers will be some of our own coaches who help keep our kids off the street. We need the presence of you and your children.
