UMOJA VILLAGE UPDATE, because YOU are UMOJA!

1. The North Augusta Democratic Club is still providing free rides to the polls today through Nov. 8th to now include lunch in addition to snacks.  Please use this free resource. No excuses to go cast your vote. Call 803-593-4541.

2. Umoja Village has been designated as a housing advocate by the Aiken County NAACP for the housing referral assistance services it is providing and will receive admin support funds through this year from a grant administered by the NAACP. Aiken County residents can call the Umoja Village Resource Center to schedule an appointment, 803-226-0150.

3. Our own, Dominique Simpkins with her organization City of Refuge Development Center, in partnership with the City of Aiken Public Safety and others, will sponsor Parent Support Conversations this Saturday, 1-3PM, Aiken County Recreational Center, 917 Jefferson Davis Highway in Graniteville. No admission cost. Free refreshments. Gang awareness and parent coaching info. Mental health & wellness info. Networking and support, and more. When we know better, we can do better. Please attend and tell others.
