1. Growing up in Aiken, my classmate, Gayle Ramdeen (as we knew her), was one of the smartest students in our entire school. It's no surprise in addition to being a sought-after voice in the STEM world, she has become an award-winning, critically acclaimed author with over 20 publications under her name Vanessa Riley (vanessariley.com). 2. Congratulations to community leader and former Richmond County commissioner, our own Ben Hasan, as we celebrate the July 5th launch of his free weekly online newspaper, "Speak Augusta."
