UNITY is achieved when there is a sincere desire to unite, to be led by God, to focus on the greater good, and to give God the glory.

1. REMINDER: Our attendance is requested at an Aiken County Elections Board meeting to be held tonight, Thursday, July 14th, at 5:30 PM, at the Aiken County Government building, Sandlapper Room (first floor).  Our own, Ms. Cynthia Holland, has been the manager of the Voters & Elections Office for many years, where a significant number of years she has met considerable opposition. Her office's handling of the June primary will be discussed.  If you are moved to make a public comment or to just support, you are welcome.

2. This Saturday, at 10 AM, Dr. Walter Curry, Mr. Wayne O'Bryant, and Mr. Jerome Gaines will present a discussion on slavery, Civil War, and Reconstruction Era events leading up to the founding of Aiken County -- at Redcliffe Plantation.  Registration information is below.  https://southcarolinaparks.com/redcliffe

3. This Saturday, from 4-8 PM, at the Lessie B. Price Senior & Youth Center, 841 Edgefield Avenue, NW., in Aiken, enjoy the art exhibit and opening ceremony of our own Mr. Robert Atkins, owner of Reflections Pastels, Portraits, and Paintings, as he and wife, Jackie, present "Reflections Of A Life Once Lived," of times and people of the past. 21 of his latest original graphite works of art are on exhibit. Reflect on the past to learn lessons for now and the future.  Free and open to the public.
